Enjoy People, Enjoy God, Enjoy Music.” –Breon Thomas

At first glance Breon Thomas does not look like a honey bun, but the truth of it is this twenty two year old artist is as glazed as they come ( LoL ). His music, once taken out of the cellophane wrapper, is pleasing to the senses and makes you want more. But one thing these tracks have that Little Debbie can’t sell is the full spectrum of Bre’s own personality. In these songs, the listener will hear real emotions ranging from hype to hilarious, serious to sentimental, hurting to heartwarming, and everything in between.
Breon’s musical influences are as diverse as his lyrical expressions. He draws from artists like Kirk Franklin, Michael Jackson, Switchfoot, Sam Cook, 2Pac, P.O.D. and Footloose: The Soundtrack. He brings all of these concepts together to compose his own sound—A sound that reflects the various struggles, triumphs, healings, and soul of a generation.
The main objective of Feelin’ Loose is to present our lives in their most transparent form. In a world where “problems” are viewed as weaknesses, Breon is willing to share his heart and his Lord with a world that needs a Hero. Encouragement in rough situations is the prevalent theme, although enthusiasm for life is not lost in the gravity of his words.
White Tiger Status” is what Bre wants to share with the world. This is an attitude he uses to describe our purpose and mission for times of battle and times of harmony. When you are a tiger, you have fierce determination. Your stripes are owned—they represent combat, obstacles, and difficult times along with prosperity and accomplishing your own goals. The end result? A beautiful product.
Breon earned his stripes by overcoming a fear of reading and writing. He says, “Some people don’t even touch books because they are afraid of them.” In school, he was even put into a special education class. Finally, Breon stepped out in faith and asked for help. Although some-days are still an internal struggle, this doesn’t stop him from writing and performing his lyrics to give confidence to others.
“I want to encourage poor people,” Breon insists. “Cause I’m poor, and I have dreams!” But it isn’t just the underprivileged that can relate to Bre’s music. If you have ever had dreams, ever been in the depths of discouragement, ever been lifted up, or anywhere in between this sound is sure speak to you—So, grab a honey bun, plug in your headphones, and listen to something sweet.
